Day One: Where to Begin

On a mission to revive extremely damaged hair, thanks to years of applying heat and chemical processing, I've embarked on a mission to get my curls back ! Lost on where to begin, I decided my best foot forward is to see where my hair once was verses where it stands today....

Before 2 years of chemical processing
Today

...so now I'm on a quest to find and experiment with any product, store bought or home made, until I cure my case of lost curls.

THE ULTIMATE CHALLENGE :
I'm challenging myself to an entire year, yes 365 days of no heat and no chemicals. Think its possible? Try it with me, along with the daily hair restoration tips I'll be offering including hair treatments, home made recipes, top hair cuts for curly hair and more.

MY FIRST RECIPE- EGGS, MAYONAISE & OLIVE OIL:
Here are the ingredients and application directions so you can try it at home with me:

What you'll need-
*Mayonaise
*Olive Oil
*Egg Yolks
*Lemon Juice (optional for dandruff)

Application-
After mixing, apply to clean damp hair and massage into scalp for about 1-3 minutes. After, wrap in plastic shower and then wrap head with silk scarf. Let it sit for about 30 minutes then shampoo and air dry.

Results will be posted

  1. My natural curly hair wild and untamed makes me feel like Mufasa. I've been reminiscing on how healthy my curly locks use to look but couldn't really figure out where to begin. After years of dying and straightening my hair, I'm ready to get my shirley temples back. I don't know if i can go an entire year with JUST curls but I've defiantly been inspired to try. Thank you.

  3. So I've been reading your blogs and they are awesome! I've also accepted the challenge to not color or highlight my hair for a whole year. And I've set my 6 week appointments to get my hair trimmed! I really want my hair to grow so I won't be straightening it for a while (at least I'm going to try)!! Anywho my hair is naturally curly, what can I put in my hair that won't damage it? I used to use gel but im pretty sure it's been drying my hair out.

    Sincerly,
